SHALLOTTE—It took three extra innings to decide a softball battle between West Brunswick and New Hanover last Wednesday night.
The Lady Wildcats scored in the 10th inning to win 4-3.
The Lady Trojans had more hits than New Hanover, 8 to 7. But Lady Wildcat Brittany Smith led off the 10th with a single, was sacrifice-bunted to second and came home when winning pitcher Jordan Humphrey drilled the ball down the third-base line to left field.
