New hospital is welcome addition

Finding quality healthcare in a rural community can sometimes be difficult. It’s not uncommon for people in such areas to have to travel beyond their communities to access high quality, state-of-the-art healthcare.

But not so in Brunswick County.

On Saturday, the community will get its first chance to take a sneak peak inside the new Brunswick Novant Medical Facility during a 1-4 p.m. public tour.

At the end of the month, the new facility on U.S. 17 in Bolivia will officially open and replace the older Brunswick County Hospital just down the road.
