The North Brunswick High School boys’ basketball team wrapped up Waccamaw 1A/2A Conference play last Monday with an upset win at South Columbus.
Shawn Sanders scored a game-high 24 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Scorpions to the 75-66 victory. The game pitted the second- and sixth-place teams in the league.
North Brunswick trailed 28-17 after the first quarter but outscored the Stallions 18-5 in the second period for a 35-33 halftime lead. The Scorpions had a 24-17 advantage in the fourth quarter.
