BOILING SPRING LAKES—It took 10 innings and a 20-minute delay-of-game for North Brunswick to get hot in the top of the 10th inning and beat South 7-4 in a Waccamaw Conference softball game May 5 at Cougar field.
North trailed 3-0 entering the top of the seventh but scored four runs with two outs. South scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings.
The game was delayed for 20 minutes in the 10th as the lights were turned off at the softball field instead of the baseball field, where the North and South baseball teams has just played.
