Scorpions win first track meet
Shawn Sanders and Corey Hammonds led the North Brunswick High School boys’ track team to victory in a tri-meet last Thursday at Pender.
The Scorpions had 97 points to 31 for Trask and 30 for Pender.
Sanders won the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles as well as the triple jump. Hammonds captured the 400-meter run, shot put and discus.
A double winner for the Scorpions was Tony Wright in the 800-meter and 1,600-meter races.
The Scorpions also won three of the four relay races.
