An Oak Island man will serve nearly five years in prison after pleading guilty Oct. 9 to selling cocaine, according to a news release from the District Attorney’s Office.
Senior Resident Judge Ola Lewis sentenced Sean Patrick Clark as a habitual felon and ordered him to serve 58 to 82 months in the North Carolina Department of Correction. She also ordered him to pay restitution and court costs for associated with the investigation into his activities.
The investigation led to Clark’s arrest for the sale of crack cocaine during a countywide undercover operation, which led to his indictment in December.
The District Attorney’s Office and Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office targeted Clark as a habitual offender. Assistant District Attorney Chris Thomas prosecuted the case.
