According to the Ocean Isle Beach Police Department, the suspect has been involved with break-ins to residential areas, specifically targeting flat-screen TVs and other high-end electronics.
The suspect is wanted in connection with more than 80 property crimes throughout Brunswick County and neighboring Horry County, S.C. Ocean Isle Beach police chief John Goodwin said the suspect is wanted in connection to six break-ins in Ocean Isle Beach.
“We are aggressively checking people coming across the bridge,” Goodwin said.
He advised if you are out late you may be stopped and to let the officer know who you are.
Anyone with information about the crimes, the suspect or the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Ocean Isle Beach Police Department at (910) 579-4221.
Ocean Isle Beach Police have also posted a surveillance video of the suspect on YouTube. The video shows the suspect reading a sign at Duneside stating the premises is under surveillance.
“He reads the sign and looks directly into the camera like a deer in headlights and then starts to back away. There are two,” Goodwin said.
Goodwin said the suspect’s shirt is unique and also hopes the suspect’s vehicle can be identified. He said the suspect is good at blending in and the vehicle does not stand out.
