-A A +A

Suspicious activity can be prevented and suspects apprehended more quickly if citizens call the Ocean Isle Beach Police Department to report such acts promptly.

Officers recommend you call the OIBPD if someone’s actions or an incident you observe is disturbing, threatening or out of the ordinary.

Chief John Goodwin and the OIBPD are providing these simple tips to help you report suspicious activity:

First call 911 or 579-4221 (non-emergency number).

•Stay calm.

•Be specific.

•Advise on where the activity is occurring.
