The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill has confirmed six of the seven victims of the Oct. 28 Ocean Isle Beach fire had alcohol in their systems when they died.
One report indicates alcohol intoxication as a “contributing condition” of death. All victims were under the legal drinking age of 21.
