Ocean Ridge plays couples’ championship

The Ocean Ridge Sunday couples league played its annual club championship tournament on June 3, June 10 and June 17 on Panther’s Run, Tiger’s Eye and Lion’s Paw.
The first day on Panther’s Run consisted of captain’s choice on the front nine and alternate shot on the back nine, for a total par of 72.
The second day on Tiger’s Eye counted one best score per hole, also for a total par of 72.
The third day on Lion’s Paw was alternate shot on the front-nine holes and captain’s choice on the back, for a total three-day par of 216.
The winners in the gross score category were Gordon and Kathy Wicke, 239. Second were Bill and Lori Bonnington, 245. Third were Rod Peterson and Jeanne Maxon, 249.
Winners of the net score category were Hugh and Susan Carano, 185. Second were Jim and Juli Miller, 187. Third were Carl and Carole Schuster, 193. Fourth were Rick and Pam McCafrferty, 194.
