Ocean Isle Beach officials will send a letter to all property owners on the town’s concrete lined canals recommending they shore up the bulkheads before dredging begins in the fall.
The town has a $143,130 engineering contract in place to plan for dredging the 14 concrete canals from Concord Street to Lee Street but discussed at the Jan. 14 town meeting if there was a need to spend another $60,000 for daily inspections of the dredging results.
