ORCA donates $10,000 to hospice

Brunswick County’s newest neighborhood foundation, the Ocean Ridge Charities Association (ORCA), has donated $10,000 to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter’s Closer to Home capital campaign. The gift was originally planned as a five-year pledge, but ORCA raised the funds from within the Ocean Ridge community in less than 90 days. A family alcove at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick will be named in honor of ORCA’s gift.
