OCEAN ISLE BEACH—Even the rains couldn’t keep people away from their oysters last weekend.
Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce President Cathy Altman said last weekend’s N.C. Oyster Festival at Ocean Isle Beach was a success, despite a slow rainy start to the two-day festival on Saturday.
“I think all in all it was successful, especially Sunday. Typically, Sunday is a slower day for us. This year, Sunday was like our Saturday,” Altman said.
