Holden Beach commissioners will have a public forum and work session in town hall at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, on proposed plans for two parks and recreation projects on the island.
One project is for the land behind the water tower, and the second project is near a spoil area on Scotch Bonnet Drive. The town recently purchased both pieces of land.
Facilitator will be Chris May, executive director of the Cape Fear Council of Governments.
Commissioners and parks and recreation advisory board members will talk about the two projects at the forum.
