Church honors pastor

BOLIVIA–Mount Olive Baptist Church in Bolivia is kicking off a series to honor retired pastors in the local area at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 22, with a service honoring the Rev. Weston Varnum.
Varnum accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 31. Desiring to become a preacher, he began prayer meetings and was ordained as a minister of the Gospel at Sabbath Home Baptist Church.
He studied at Piedmont Bible College and then graduated at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute in 1954.
