Pender sweeps Scorpions

The North Brunswick High School basketball teams found two different ways to lose to the visiting Pender Patriots last Tuesday.

North Brunswick’s boys jumped out to a 31-26 halftime lead and squandered it in the third quarter, losing to the Patriots 64-51.

The Lady Scorpions found themselves way behind, 32-10 at halftime, then rallied but could not come all the way back in losing a 49-45 decision.

In the third quarter of the boys’ game, Pender outscored the Scorpions 20-9.
