Petreas receive national award, set goals for the future

Every two years, The First Tee has a network meeting where representatives from all 207 First Tee chapters meet and greet each other, attend educational seminars and listen to speakers like Colin Powell.

During those meetings, Home Office recognizes those who have made a difference, those who have gone above and beyond to help kids learn golf and life skills.

On March 1, Rusty and Carol Petrea of Ocean Isle Beach received The First Tee Founders Award at the 2009 Network Meeting in San Jose, Calif.
