A Shallotte physician assistant has agreed to have his license suspended for 60 days and attend classes about prescribing medications to avoid a formal hearing for misconduct.
Rocky Quillen, PA, of Shallotte Medical Center, signed a consent order with the N.C. Medical Board Feb. 20 admitting he directed members of the office staff to call in prescriptions for a member of his family under the name of the supervising physician and another physician assistant without their knowledge.
