PetSense in Shallotte is having a Pet Adoption Fair from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29-30.

Highlights include assorted animals that will be available for adoption as well as vendors who donate to rescue groups.

Brunswick County Animal Protective Services will be bringing dogs to the event.

Another highlight is animal owners can bring photos of their pets—or have their pets’ photo made on-site—to be converted into life-size decals.

The vinyl decals can be used to attach to car windows so that it looks like your pets are riding in the vehicle whether they are or not, says event participant Janie Withers of Paws-Ability, a nonprofit that provides financial support for animal causes in Brunswick County.

Smaller decals can also be ordered for use as “life alert” notices that there are pets in your home for rescue personnel to see in the event of fire or similar emergency, Withers said.

PetSense is at 110 Shallotte Crossing Parkway. The phone number is 754-9073.
