To the editor: I have been reading with amusement the articles on the history of Ocean Isle Beach written by Fred David.
It is interesting to note that almost anything that happened in the Caribbean or on the East Coast of America is considered to be the “Ocean Isle Beach area,” especially since, to my knowledge, Ocean Isle Beach was given that name by Odell Williamson in the early 1950s.
