Quick bites: Waterless boiled shrimp

This recipe from longtime Calabash shrimper Sammy Leonard calls for no water and no beer. Just put shrimp in a pan and douse it with Old Bay Seasoning. Put the lid on and turn up the heat to medium high. Wait 6-7 minutes until shrimp is pink around edges, then swoosh it around in the pan like popcorn until it’s done. “It’s the best shrimp you ever ate,” says Bob Taylor, owner of the Calabash Fishing Fleet where Leonard works. “You’ll never boil shrimp in beer again.”
