Reagan was a proactive visionary

I neither favor nor disfavor Newt Gingrich’s candidacy for president. I do believe, however, given the recent accounts of Gingrich’s political relationship with Ronald Reagan, that a fair and balanced understanding of any candidate’s history is necessary.
In 1995, at the Goldwater Institute dinner honoring President Ronald Reagan, his wife Nancy said the following:
