Jubilee and fish fry set for March 8
Center Point Church (formerly Mt. Gilead Baptist Church), 5420 U.S. 17 in Winnabow, will host a Brunswick Gospel Jubilee and fish fry on Friday, March 8.
The fish fry is from 5:30-6:45 p.m. and the gospel jubilee begins at 7 p.m. Come out and enjoy the food, music and fellowship. For more information, call Billy Hill at (910) 209-4927.

Gospel singing comes to Southport March 8
Come out and enjoy the music and fellowship of Southern gospel singing from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Southport Senior Center, 1531 N. Howe St. in Southport (behind Kerr Drugs and beside Wingate Inn). Several singers are scheduled to perform.

Gateway Landing has its first graduation
Men recovering from life-controlling issues, such as alcohol and drug addiction, are returning to their families, communities, and careers changed because of the 12-month, faith-based, Christ-centered, residential, nonprofit program called Gateway Landing, an outreach ministry of Gateway Church.
On April 6, Gateway Landing will conduct its first graduation concurrently with a fundraising banquet at 6 p.m. at Elah Baptist Church, 1527 Old Fayetteville Road in Leland. Donated items from local businesses and individuals will be auctioned off to benefit men who are committed to getting their lives together.
Individual seats are $25 or reserve a table of six for $125. Easter egg hunt is March 23 in Calabash
An afternoon of family fun will be offered at an Easter egg hunt from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Calabash Town Park. This free event is sponsored by River of Life Baptist Church.
Hot dogs, drinks, games, crafts and an egg hunt for different age groups will be offered. There will also be an opportunity for free pictures of children with the Easter Bunny.

Trinity UMC sets Sunday services
“Giving Up Superiority,” based on Scripture from John 4:5-42, will be the title of the Rev. Jeff Roberts’ and associate pastor Michelle Sabin’s sermons on Sunday, March 10, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 209 E. Nash St. in Southport.
This is the fourth in a six-part Lenten series titled “Giving It Up.”
Traditional worship services will be at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the sanctuary, and at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. in Murrow Hall, with music led by Worship, the praise band. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Childcare is available at all services.
