Yard and bake sale set for March 22
Sharon United Methodist Church, 2030 Holden Beach Road, will have a yard and bake sale from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, March 22, and from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 23. Breakfast will be available from 7-10 a.m. on both days. Hot dogs and cold drinks will be available after 10 a.m. both days.
A chicken dinner will be served from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, served by the church youth. The menu will consist of fried chicken or stew beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, cobbler and a drink. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Shower of Blessings is open March 25
Need a meal? Need a shower? New Life Christian Fellowship can help with its Shower of Blessings program from 5-7 p.m. every Monday at 2162 Stone Chimney Road SW in Supply. The next program is Monday, March 25.
They work closely with BC Streetreach to provide shelter and a free meal for the night to anyone who needs it in the Brunswick County area from November through March.

Sunrise service set for Easter Sunday
Brunswick Islands Baptist Church and the Holden Beach Chapel are sponsoring an Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, March 31, at the Holden Beach Pier.

Sermons set for Palm Sunday, March 24
“Giving Up Popularity,” based on Scripture from Matthew 21:1-11, will be the title of pastor Jeff Roberts’ and associate pastor Michelle Sabin’s sermons on Palm Sunday, March 24, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 209 E. Nash St. in Southport.
This is the last in a six-part Lenten series titled “Giving It Up.” Palm Processionals will precede all services.
Traditional worship services will be at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the sanctuary, and at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. in Murrow Hall, with music led by Worship, the praise band. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Childcare is available at all services.
On Good Friday, March 29, the combined Morning Glory and Chancel Choirs will present: Journey, Cross and Crucifixion,” a powerful drama depicting the events leading up to the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There will be two presentations in the sanctuary, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Parental discretion is advised. Childcare for children 9 and younger will be available during both services.
“Giving Up Death,” based on Scripture from Acts 10:34-43 and John 20:1-18, will be the title of pastor Jeff Roberts’ and associate pastor Michelle Sabin’s sermons on Easter Sunday, March 31.
Traditional worship services will be at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the sanctuary, and at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. in Murrow Hall, with music led by Worship, the praise band. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Childcare is available at all services.
