Church to show film May 7

Anchor Baptist Church, 3300 S.C. 50 (north on Mineola Ave., two miles off U.S. 17) in Little River, S.C., will be showing the new Christian film, “Milltown Pride,” at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 7. The public is invited and there is no charge for admission.

Milltown Pride is the story of a young man named Will Wright, who dreams of playing baseball in the big leagues and is ready to sacrifice anything to make it happen. Against the wishes of his wealthy father, he leaves his family and privileged life behind to work in the harsh conditions at Newton Mill. His natural talent on the field makes him the rising star of the mill league team and also earns him a dangerous rival. The film shows his rise as a baseball star, his fall from grace and the redemption he finds through grace and love.
