Gospel sing set for Aug. 14

Woodmen of the World will present a gospel sing and family social beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Woodmen of the World Lodge 160, 136 Commerce St. in Shallotte.

This free event will feature the New Beginnings Praise Team, In His Love, Nicole Hopkins and The Altarmen and Julie. Hot dogs, hamburgers, water and sodas will be provided.

Training college open house set

Greater Tabernacle Church, 683 Longwood Road in Ocean Isle Beach, will host an open house for its Bread of Heaven Training College of Theology beginning at 7 p.m. Aug. 29. Both associate and bachelor degrees are available.
