Smoky Mountain Reunion to play May 19
Archie Watkins and Smoky Mountain Reunion from Bryson City will appear in concert at Mount Olive Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 19.
Mount Olive Baptist Church is between Bolivia and Supply at the junction of U.S. 17 and Galloway Road at mile marker 24.

Breakfast for mothers is set for May 12
Take mom out for a pre-Mother’s Day breakfast celebration on Saturday, May 12. The Sons of God Gospel Quartet group is sponsoring a flapjack fundraiser from 7-10 a.m. at the Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar at 1113 Newpointe Blvd. in Leland. Applebee’s will be serving up short stacks of pancakes for a tall cause.

Sermons planned for May 13 services
“Yellow Prayer” will be the title of the sermons of the Rev. Jeff Roberts and associate pastor Michelle Sabin on Sunday, May 13, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 209 E. Nash St. in Southport. Based on Scripture from Luke 22:39-44, this is the second of a three-part sermon series on prayer.
Four worship services will be available: 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. traditional services in the sanctuary and 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services in Murrow Hall, which will have music by Promise., the Trinity worship band.

Youth cookout is set for May 12
Brunswick Islands Baptist Church, 1672 Mount Pisgah Road in Supply, is sponsoring a youth cookout fun fest from 4-8 p.m. May 12. Enjoy music, games and activities. Hot dogs and drinks available.
