Children’s camp begins June 13
Strong in Grace Ministries at New Ebenezer Faith Ministries, 1705 Southport-Supply Road (N.C 211) in Bolivia, is sponsoring a children’s summer camp from June 13 through Aug. 17 from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch is included. To register, call 253-0477.

Men’s conference is set for June 15-17
New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, 88 Snowfield Road in Leland, will host its first men’s conference, Ordinary Men Doing Extra Ordinary Things, June 15-17.
Friday, June 15, at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Tommy Nesbitt and Christian Hope Christian Church.
Saturday, June 16, will be workshops. At 10 a.m., the Rev. Dr. Clifford D. Barnett Sr. of Warner’s Temple AMEZ Church will discuss “Ordinary Men Doing Extra Ordinary Things for God.” At 11 a.m., Bishop Linwood Nesbitt of New Covenant Holiness Church will discuss “Ordinary Men Doing Extra Ordinary Things for Family and Church.” Lunch will be served around noon.
Sunday, June 17, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. John H. Brown.

Sermon to examine the power of story
“The Power of Story” will be the title of the sermons of the Rev. Jeff Roberts and associate pastor Michelle Sabin on Sunday, June 17, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 209 E. Nash St. in Southport. Based on scripture from Acts 1:8, this is the third of a three-part sermon series on our witness, “Just Walk Across the Room.”
Four worship services will be available: 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. traditional services in the sanctuary and 9:30 a.m. contemporary service and 11 a.m. blended service in Murrow Hall, led by Promise, the Trinity worship band.

Vacation Bible School set for June 11-15
Soldier Bay Baptist Church on N.C. 130 in Ash will host vacation Bible school June 11-15. Everyone is welcome to come out to the Amazing Wonders Aviation, 6-9 p.m. for children, and 6-7 p.m. for adults.
While ‘flying around the world,’ kids will also have snacks at the Paricutin Volcano; visit missions under the northern lights; listen to music at the Matterhorn; recreate at the Grand Canyon; and have crafts at the Great Barrier Reef.

Junior choir to celebrate
