Free hot Christmas meal
Faith Building Missions will pass out hot Christmas meals from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 25, in Rourk Gardens on Main Street in Shallotte.
The group will also give away free socks while supplies last. The group is prepared to feed 2,000 people but it needs help with distribution, as they don’t have the capacity to deliver meals.
Anyone wishing to volunteer to deliver may call Dean Siler at 755-6888. Anyone in need of a free meal on Christmas Day is invited to attend.
Camp UMC to have services
Camp United Methodist Church of Shallotte will celebrate Christmas Eve with candlelight and communion service beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24, in its new sanctuary in Shallotte at 4807 Main St.
Sunday services on Dec. 26 will be at the regular worship times of 8:30 and 11 a.m. The Rev. Richard Vaughan will preach on “So Now What?” based on Isaiah 63:7-9 and Luke 2:15-20.
Sunday school and Bible study for children and adults begins at 9:45 a.m. A nursery is available for all services.

Trinity UMC sets holiday services
Christmas Eve at Trinity United Methodist Church, 209 E. Nash St. in Southport, will feature three candlelight worship services.
The 5:30 p.m. service will be in Murrow Hall and there will be nursery care available. The 7 p.m. service will be in the sanctuary with the chancel choir and nursery care will be available. The 11 p.m. service will also be in the sanctuary with communion and the chancel choir leading the music.
“St. Nick Nicked?” will be the title of the Rev. Jeff Roberts’ message, based on scripture from Luke 2:1-20. All are welcome to attend.
