Sons of God anniversary set for Nov. 17

Kalaman to perform Nov. 18 in Sunset Beach
Kim Kalaman will share her musical talents in concert at 4 p.m. Nov. 18 at Seaside United Methodist Church, 1300 Seaside Road SW in Sunset Beach. A love offering will be received.
Kalaman has been a professional songwriter, singer and master of the acoustic guitar for more than four decades, and has recorded her own CDs in Nashville, Tenn. She is the music minister for Most Holy Redeemer Church, as well as a performer in various venues on the Outer Banks.
Sermons set for Nov. 11
“Why Should I Care?” will be the title of the Rev. Jeff Roberts’ and associate pastor Michelle Sabin’s sermons on Sunday, Nov. 11, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 209 E. Nash St. in Southport.
Based on scripture from 1Kings 17:8-16, the focus will be on our core value of extravagant generosity. Traditional worship services will be at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the sanctuary, and at
9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. in Murrow Hall, with music led by Praise, the worship band.
Nursery care is available at all services. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. and children’s church is at

Saunders to speak at wellness ministry
The Wellness and Recreational Ministry at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1229 Cedar Grove Road SW in Supply, will welcome Dr. George Saunders at 6 p.m. Nov. 14. He will discuss prostate cancer and other types of cancer and preventative measures.
