Representative candidate to speak at meeting

-A A +A

Ilario Pantano, Republican nominee for U. S. House of Representatives from North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District, will be the keynote speaker at the Brunswick County Republican Women’s  Sept. 2 meeting at the Brunswick GOP headquarters, 971 Old Ocean Highway in Bolivia.

The 5:30 p.m. meeting will be preceded by an informal social at 5 p.m.

Pantano is a combat veteran and author who has worked in both global markets and small business. The “born again Southerner” is a 38-year-old conservative committed to promoting job creation and revitalizing the economy, protecting the homeland and preserving conservative values. He and his wife Jill live in Wilmington with their two sons.

When inviting Pantano to address the club, Helen Pannullo, club president, noted, “changes are clearly needed in Washington to address the current administration’s failure to reverse our two-year long recession that has hurt the economic well-being of the voters in the 7th Congressional District.”

“I am honored to address this great group of Republican Women,” Pantano said. “These women are leaders in our party. They have worked hard for my campaign, and I am honored to have their support. Like myself and my family, these women are sick of what is going on in Washington, and they have stepped forward to help lead the fight to take our country back.”

The Brunswick County Republican Women’s Club is open to any registered Republican woman living in Brunswick County. The objectives of the BCRWC are to inform the public through political education, to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through active political participation and to promote Republican Party principles and candidates.
