A line from the movie “Million Dollar Baby” made such an impression on me I wrote it down for further contemplation and possible use. It was then put away safely and forgotten. Forgotten, that is, until I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago.

The line re-echoed in my memory bank and rang in my consciousness, a gong tolling the hours and moments of my life. I heard, and then reheard, the words, as a challenge that won’t go away, won’t leave me in soothing complacency. The sentence is, “Risk everything for a dream that no one sees but you.”
