In a move some had expected, West Brunswick High School Principal Brock Ahrens has announced the selection of Jimmy Fletcher as the school’s next athletics director.
Fletcher replaces John Floyd, who announced his retirement in January.
According to Ahrens, Fletcher is connected with the West Brunswick community, is a man of great integrity and has a proven track record of fundraising to support athletic programs.
“Fletcher’s strong counseling background is an added support to student-athletes as they select courses, maintain eligibility requirements and stay on target to graduate,” he said.
“I’m excited about the opportunity and the new challenges ahead,” Fletcher said.
“I want to thank the administration, staff and community for their support. I also want to thank my family for their support over the last 10 years and I’m looking forward to getting started with this new endeavor.”
