Sadie (ID No. A021391) is a yellow Lab/hound mix found running loose at Sea Trail in Sunset Beach the first week in January. She was wearing a red collar and had fleas. A resident took her home and cared for her but has been unable to find Sadie’s owner. The resident also was unable to keep Sadie and last week took her to Brunswick County Animal Control. Sadie weighs 41 pounds and is about a year old. She is described as well-behaved and housebroken, patient with children and plays well with other dogs and cats. Her rescuers would like to help Sadie get adopted. Brunswick County Animal Shelter’s adoption fees are based on age. Adoption fees for dogs are $65 for ages 6 months or older, and $46 for dogs 5 months old or younger. Fees include rabies shot, physical exam, heartworm test (for older dogs only) and spay or neuter.
