The Franklin Square Gallery High School Art Show opens on Monday, March 25. Students from three local high schools will display an array of paintings, drawings, prints and photography, as well as three-dimensional constructions. Rusty Hughes, art instructor at Brunswick Community College, will judge their work.
“This is a very popular show for the gallery with exceptional art, a real crowd-pleaser,” said gallery member Betty Garbarino, who helps organize the show. “It shows the public the fruits of collaboration between the students’ emerging creative skills and their teachers’ creative and technical guidance.”
The show runs through Friday, April 19. Admission is free. The gallery is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For more information, call 457-5450 or visit www.franklinsquaregallery.com.
