BOLIVIA—In the midst of a near half million dollar reversion, the Brunswick County Schools Board of Education voted to pay $30,000 toward the Communities in Schools (CIS) after-school program.
Cynthia Tart, CIS executive director, approached the board last month and requested the $30,000 to be used in part with a $200,000 grant. The Brunswick County Board of Commissioners agreed to fund $30,000 provided the board of education do the same.
