After a visit from the Shallotte fire marshal last fall, Academy of Coastal Carolina is almost finished making necessary improvements to bring its facility up to code.
The school is now undergoing renovations, which should be completed within the next few weeks.
Terry Cox, division principal, said the safety of their students is of the utmost importance, and the school will be “state of the art” when the renovation ends.
