The Beachcombers played a team net tournament Friday at Farmstead. Winners with a score of 287 were Stu Cleveland, Tom Culverwell, Sid Silver and Bob Brownley. In second were Bob Smith, Jim Beairsto, Hal Riebesehl and Gary Gutheil at 299. Gross: Gary Gutheil, 83, and Stu Cleveland, 88. Nets: Gutheil, 64, and Cleveland 66. Gary Gutheil is golfer of the week.
Brick Landing women
The Brick Landing Plantation Ladies Golf Association played a blind-holes league game May 17. The first-flight winner was Sharon Brown with a 37. Bonnie Giehl was second with a 39 and Dale Calhoon was third with a 42. The second-flight winner was Sharon Deutsch with a 35. Kathy Mularczyk placed second with a 41 and Mary Dixon and Mary Tacea tied for third with scores of 42. In the third flight, Ellen Rogoff was first with a 41 and Lois Huber was second with a 43. Sharon Deutsch made a birdie at 5 and Sharon Brown chipped in at 4.

The five-man teams scored a net and two gross on the par 3s, a net and gross on the par 4s and two nets on the par 5s. Placing second was the team of John Ducey, Bob Levan, Karl Pettersen, Pete Scott and Cliff Musselman.

During a Sea Trail tournament May 15, Jack Dambaugh scored an eagle on the 350-yard par-4 third hole using a driver and holing out a 6-iron shot.
Kennedy scores eagle
On May 14, Marti Kennedy scored an eagle on the 331-yard par-5 third hole at Sea Trail Byrd Course. She used a driver and 3-wood and a pitching wedge.
Wiedman scores hole-in-one
On May 14, Lynn Wiedman scored a hole-in-one on the 106-yard 16th hole at the Sea Trail Byrd Course using a 5-wood.

The Sea Trail Lady Niners played their charm tournament May 8 and 10 on the Jones Course. The winner of the gold charm was Barbara Bashaw and the winner of the silver charm was Joan Cech.
