The Beachcombers played a team net tournament Friday at Farmstead. Winners with a score of 287 were Stu Cleveland, Tom Culverwell, Sid Silver and Bob Brownley. The Brick Landing Plantation Ladies Golf Association played a blind-holes league game May 17. The first-flight winner was Sharon Brown with a 37. Bonnie Giehl was second with a 39 and Dale Calhoon was third with a 42. The second-flight winner was Sharon Deutsch with a 35. Kathy Mularczyk placed second with a 41 and Mary Dixon and Mary Tacea tied for third with scores of 42. In the third flight, Ellen Rogoff was first with a 41 and Lois Huber was second with a 43. Sharon Deutsch made a birdie at 5 and Sharon Brown chipped in at 4.

On May 14, Marti Kennedy scored an eagle on the 331-yard par-5 third hole at Sea Trail Byrd Course. She used a driver and 3-wood and a pitching wedge.
