Beachcombers
The Beachcombers played a two-nets tournament Friday at Crow Creek. The winners with a score of 114 (-30) were Fread Ortiz, Bob Byrne, Bill McDavit and Sid Silver. In second 118 (-26) were Jim Beairsto, Bob Smith, Tom Culverwell and Gary Gutheil. Low rounds: Reese Evans 78, Bill McDavit 84, Gary Gutheil 85 and Sid Silver 88. Met: Bill McDavit, 62. He also had an eagle on hole No. 9 and was voted golfer of the week.

Brick Landing
The Brick Landing Plantation Ladies Golf Association played a circle nine game on Sept. 13. The first flight winner was Mary Biesack with a 34. Irene Dowdy was second with a 35 and Pat Christenbury was third at 43. The second flight winner was a tie between Sharon Deutsch and Carol Fredericks at 31. Kathy Mularczyk was next at 36 . Peg Agrimonti was first in the third flight at 37.  Peg Campana was second at 39 and Ellen Rogoff placed third at 44.

Brierwood
Results for Sept. 13, counting two best balls, one of which must be the man in the box: the team of Bob Nobes, Paul Salerno, Jim Pope and a player by draw came in first at -25.  In second was the team of Larry Boyer, Bernie Gruzlewski, Dave Harper and a player by draw at -19.
Results of the Brierwood member-guest tournament Sept. 8-9 were as follows: First flight winners: Bob Doyle and Al Bassingnani also were overall champions and ringer champions. Second flight winners were Reggie Fitz-Gerald and Dan McIntire. Third flight winners were Len Henderson and Pete Henderson.

Results Sept. 10 at Oyster Bay. Jim Kennedy, Ron Doeblin, Ned Meier and John Ducey placed first with a 111. Teams scored one net on odd-number holes and two on the even-number holes. Dave Holliday, Jody Serensits, Joe Gallo and a player by draw placed second.
Results Sept. 12 at Heather Glen. Karl Pettersen, Tony Languell, Joe Gallo and a player by draw placed first with a 162. Teams scored two balls per hole. Placing second were Jody Serensits, Ned Meier, Bob Levan and John Ducey.
On Friday at Possum Trot, Ron Doeblin, Ned Meier and John Ducey took first with a 149. The three-man teams scored two balls on the par 4s and par 5s and one low and the high score on the par 3s. Second were Jim Kennedy, Jerry Rubin and Joe Gallo.

Calabash Elks
Results of the tourney Sept. 12 at Carolina Shores. Bill Malloy and Ron O’Leary tied for low net in flight A at 70. In B flight, Jim Beairsto shot a net 66 and in C flight Paul Walsh shot a net 69.
