The Beachcombers played a three nets tournament Friday at Cypress Bay The winners with a score of 186 (-30) were Ed Hennessey, Paul Michal, Roger Dunham, Dan O’Connell and Hal Riebesehl. In second at 190 (-29) were Sid Silver, Bill Cameron, Tom Culverwell and Fred Ortiz. In the Carolinas Golf Association’s senior four-ball tournament Sept. 25 at Boone Golf Club, in Boone, Jimmy Trotter, Sunset Beach, and Jim Eskridge, Greensboro, won super senior flight C by shooting 31-35—66. In flight A, Lanny Correll Sr., Pawleys Island, S.C., and Steve Denney, Shallotte, finished fourth by shooting 34-37—71.
