On Friday, the Beachcombers played at Cypress Bay. Low gross: Sid Silvers, 83, and Stu Cleveland, 88. Nets: Silvers and Cleveland, 68; Dan O’Connell, 69. Team two nets: Tom Culverwell, Ed Redman, O’Connell and a player by draw finished first at 32-under par. Golfer of the week is Silvers.

Brierwood BMGA
On Oct. 15, the game consisted of counting two best balls on the front nine and three best balls on the back nine. In first, with a score of -30, was the team of Al Bloom, Dennis Shea, Chuck Hornfeck and Rich Hornfeck. In second at -24 was the team of Bob Nobes, Ron Arvidson, Dave Harper and a player by draw.
On Oct. 18, the format was two best balls. In first at -22, was the team of Paul Salerno, Mike Prokop, Chuck Hornfeck and Ron Arvidson.

On Oct. 24 at Carolina National, Karl Pettersen, Steve Maiorca and John Ducey placed first with a 109. The three-man teams scored two nets on odd-number holes and one on the evens. Sid Pennington, Von Hincher and Toney Languell were second.
On Friday at Heather Glen, Sid Pennington, Ron Doeblin, Bob Levan and a player by draw placed first with a 148. Teams scored two gross on the par 3s and par 5s and a gross and net on the par 4s. Jim Kennedy, Steve Maiorca, Ned Meier and Von Hincher were second.
