LELAND—The best and the worst of the North Brunswick High School boys’ basketball season was on display Friday night against East Columbus.
An almost full house saw the Scorpions come out on fire to start the game. They took a 41-21 lead into halftime of the Waccamaw 1A/2A Conference game between two teams trying to avoid last place in the league standings.
The Scorpions (3-6 conference, 6-12 overall) used a 10-0 run at the start of the second quarter to forge the wide gap, and they needed every point in the 66-64 victory.
