Second degree murder conviction in 2010 DWI death

A verdict of second-degree murder and a sentence of 15 to 18.75 years were delivered in Brunswick County court on Friday afternoon.

Daniel Harrison Brennick, 25, has been convicted of second-degree murder, felony death by vehicle and DWI and sentenced to 180 to 225 months in jail.

Brennick killed Satu Harris, 38, on May 7, 2010 when his vehicle crossed the centerline and hit Harris head on. The prosecution presented testimony showing Brennick was driving erratically prior to the collision.
