Here are lunch menus for Brunswick County’s nine Senior Nutrition Sites for next week.
Monday, Feb. 28
Herbed baked chicken filet, mashed potatoes, chicken gravy, collards, butterscotch pudding, grape juice, whole-wheat bread/margarine, beverage.
Tuesday, March 1
Macaroni and cheese, diced ham, vegetable blend, pears, biscuit/margarine, beverage.
Wednesday, March 2
Sloppy Joe/bun, corn pudding, turnip greens, applesauce, beverage.
Thursday, March 3
Roast turkey/gravy, stuffing, peas/carrots, cranberry sauce, fresh orange, dinner roll/margarine, beverage.
Friday, March 4
Barbecue pork/bun, baked beans, coleslaw, grape juice, apple cobbler, beverage.
The nine sites and their hours are as follows:
Shallotte Senior Center, Monday-Friday, 8-4.
Leland Senior Center, Monday-Friday, 8-4.
Southport Senior Center, Monday-Friday, 9-3.
Ash Senior Site, Monday-Friday, 9-2.
Oak Island Recreation Center, Monday-Friday, 10-2.
Crystal Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Monday-Friday, 9-2.
Boiling Spring Lakes Community Center, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10-2.
Calabash Presbyterian Church, Monday-Friday, 10-2.
Sunset Harbor Senior Center, Monday-Friday, 10-2.
All sites serve lunch at noon. Contributions are entirely voluntarily; however, no one is turned away for failure to contribute. Menus are subject to change.
