Shallotte Police officers investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week.
All information is taken directly from patrol activity reports.
•Officers arrested Lamarr Andre McDow, 23, of Tryon Road, Shallotte, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
The responding officer pulled over McDow’s vehicle exiting a known drug area. The vehicle swerved back and forth on U.S. 17 south of Shallotte’s north end light. The responding officer searched the vehicle and discovered a set of digital scales containing cocaine residue and less than ounce of marijuana. The officer seized the vehicle and $1,670 in cash and contraband. McDow was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $10,000 secured bond.
• Officers arrested Jamie Keelan Oxendine, 21, of Cumbee Road, Supply, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
An officer stopped a van in the CVS parking lot and found drugs on the suspect. He was sent to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $5,000 secured bond.
•Officers arrested Michael B. Carter, 29, of Sundown Lane, Shallotte, on charges of driving while impaired, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of Gray Bridge Road and N.C. 130.
•Officers arrested Christopher Lee Gulley, 35, of Botsford Court, Wilmington, for driving while impaired at the corner of Red Bug Road and U.S. 17.
•Officers arrested Richard Allen Dutra, 34, of Star Cross Drive, Shallotte, on charges of driving while impaired and a stop sign violation at Owendon Drive and Ritz Circle in Shallotte. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $2,000 secured bond.
•Assault by pointing a gun on Village Point Road and Owendon Drive; suspect pointed an AK-47 out a car window at the victim. The victim said he was pulling out of Village Point Estates when the suspect’s vehicle pulled out of Owendon Plantation, while pointing a gun believed to be an AK-47 and tapping it on his passenger side window.
•Breaking and entering and vandalism/property damage on Main Street; suspect broke in an entered a business, causing $1,000 in damage to the exterior door.
•Vandalism/property damage on Main Street; a grocery cart struck a vehicle in the parking lot, causing $500 damage to the rear hatch door.
•Larceny of medication at Shallotte Manor; suspect took $40 worth of hydrdocodone from victim’s residence.
•Larceny of water at Lloyd Circle; an unknown subject took $300 worth of water from the victim’s residence.
•Identity theft at an unknown location; suspect took the victims’ personal information to obtain credit and charged $9,943 on a Bank of America credit card. The victim did not discover the stolen money until the victim received a letter from Bank of America. The victim learned the money was being transferred to someone in New York.
•Wanted person; Larry Wayne Lasher of Supply was found to be a wanted suspect in Surry County, Va. Commonwealth Attorney General Gerald G. Poindexter said he would not extradite.
