Shallotte crime report

Shallotte police made the following arrests and investigated the following incidents last week.

•Police arrested Billy Ray Thomas, 50, of Edge Water Drive, Shallotte, on charge of failure to appear. He was placed in the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $500 secured bond.

•Counterfeit money at the Scotchman’s on Main Street; suspect gave the clerk a counterfeit $100 bill.

•Larceny of cash at Wal-Mart; victim left money, which was then allegedly taken by an employee.

•Breaking and entering and larceny from a utility trailer on Whiteville Road; suspect broke into a utility trailer and stole five framing guns worth $2,500, two trim nailers worth $350, a saw worth $859, a rotary drill worth $2, a skill saw worth $100, a trim saw worth $100 and a hammer drill worth $350.

•Larceny of a utility trailer at Lowe’s Home Improvement; suspect took a landscaping utility trailer worth $1,498.

•Larceny at Wal-Mart; suspect took various items without paying for them including a 37-inch HDTV, several clothing items, an air freshener, a pack of fishing hooks and a pack of toilet paper.

•Larceny of firearm from vehicle and breaking and entering vehicle on Brierwood Drive; suspect removed a 38-special revolver valued at $220 and .380 caliber semi-automatic gun worth $100 from victim’s vehicle.

•Lost property on Holden Beach Road; victim left various sports equipment outside his vehicle at a car wash. When he returned, the items, valued at $560, were gone.

•Breaking and entering and larceny on Country Club Drive; suspect cut screen to porch and stole a half-gallon of vodka, a half-gallon of gin, a quart of gin, a quart of cognac, a quart of rum, a half-gallon of Jack Daniels, a quart of vodka and a half-gallon of Bushmills.

•Vandalism at Shallotte Auto Spa; suspect drove an oversized vehicle through the drive-through, causing damages including $300 worth of damage to the self-service wand, $1,000 in structure damage and $200 in lost chemicals.

•Breaking and entering and larceny of cash at Cardinal Pointe; an unknown suspect entered the locked residence with a key and stole $40 in cash.

•Harassing phone calls at Shallotte Assisted Living.

•Credit card fraud at Caroco; suspect used the victim’s credit card to make two purchases—$1,365.37 and $1,365.38.

•Credit card fraud on Main Street; suspect used the victim’s debit card for two transactions—$40 and $50.
