Shallotte Crime Report

Shallotte Police investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

•Amanda M Davis, 28, of 2725 Callender Road, was charged with auto larceny. She was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. Davis was found in a motor vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier that day from 39 Brooks Court.

•Alton Dewitt Johnson, 37, of 2366 Shell Point Road, was charged with auto larceny and was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $14,000 bond. Johnson was found driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen from 39 Brooks Court.

•Brenda Kay Martin, 27, of 377 Maple Street SW, was charged with larceny by an employee from the Dollar Tree. Suspect paid for several items with food stamps but stole numerous items that were placed in the bags.

•Erica D Arbaugh, 38, of 1372 Wood Paper Lane, was charged with drunk and disruptive at Planet Fun. She was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $500 bond. The suspect cursed at law enforcement officers and refused to leave Planet Fun after being asked several times to leave.

•Miriah Claire Milliken, 18, of 4108 Randall Parkway, Wilmington, was charged with DWI. The suspect was stopped on Main Street for not having headlights or parking lights on at 3 a.m.

•Yoer Vicente Valasque, 20, of 2536 Blue Marlin Street, Supply, was charged with no operator’s license. The suspect was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $250 bond. The suspect was stopped and cited for no operator’s license and instructed not to drive earlier in the day. Officers stopped Valasque a second time, which resulted in the charges.

•Joan Antonio Cortes-Serrano, 26, of High Street was charged with shoplifting from Walmart and resisting arrest and was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.

•Shajuana Tekeiae Stanley, 31, of 4000 Big Neck Road, Ash, was charged with embezzlement by free bagging at the Dollar Tree. The suspect bagged items for another employee and only charged for some items.

•Vandalism by slashing tires at Burger King; victim and suspect have been having domestic issues. Victim believes suspect slashed the tires while on the phone with her while she was at work. Two tires on the passenger side of the vehicle were slashed.

•Communicating threats at BB&T; the suspect threatened to harm BB&T employees.

•Simple assault by striking victim in head near mailboxes on Paisley Drive; victim was staying at a friend’s apartment and was asked to leave. The victim was hit in the side of the head after leaving the apartment.

•Larceny of New York strip steaks from Food Lion; the suspect hid steaks under his shirt and ran out of the store.

•Failure to pay full amount at Go Gas; suspect pumped gas and didn’t have the full amount to pay.

•Shoplifting at Walgreens; suspect walked into store and placed cosmetics and stop-smoking patches in her jacket. Suspect fled the scene in a waiting vehicle. The incident is on camera.

•Larceny, possession of stolen property and forgery of an instrument from Copas Road and BB&T Sunset Beach; suspect attempted to use and utter a check stolen from a Copas Road resident at the Sunset Beach BB&T in the amount of $300.

•Breaking and entering at a Paisley Drive apartment; balcony door was open at residence. Victim returned home after being away for two weeks and found a closet door on the balcony open. Nothing appeared to be missing.
