Shallotte crime report

Shallotte police charged the following people and investigated the following incidents last week. All information is taken directly from police reports.

•Police charged Donnie Kabe Turbeville, 32, of Hawick Lane, Shallotte, with burglary, larceny and violation of an ex parte order on July 24. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center and placed on no bond.

•Breaking and entering and larceny from motor vehicle on Country Club Drive; suspect went into victim’s vehicle and stole a $100 MP3 player.

•Larceny of medication in the Wal-Mart parking lot; suspect removed Xanax, Percocet and Rhinocort nasal spray from victim’s vehicle.

•Threatening note in the ATMC parking lot; suspect left a threatening note on victim’s windshield.

•Breaking and entering on Paisley Drive; suspect tore victim’s window screen and attempted to put it back together.

•Larceny of cell phone and obtaining property by false pretenses; victim lost cell phone at Brunswick Bowling Center. The victim later checked his service and found that suspects had used the phone to text and make calls the same night.
