SHALLOTTE CRIME REPORT

Shallotte police charged the following people and investigated the following incidents last week. All information is taken directly from police reports.

•Police charged David Mart, 51, of Gate 3, Ocean Isle Beach, with driving while impaired and possession of drug paraphernalia after a checkpoint stop.

•Larceny of an air conditioning unit at Bedland; suspect removed an $800 air conditioning unit without permission.

•Vandalism/property damage on Wild Raven Street; suspect slashed the victim’s tires, causing $200 in damage.

•Vandalism/property damage in the Rite Aid parking lot; suspect smashed the victim’s driver’s side mirror. It was the second time the vehicle was damaged at the same location.

•Larceny of headlight lens on Paisley Drive; suspect removed victim’s headlight lens, valued at $200.

•Suspicious person in Wal-Mart; Police contacted suspect’s probation officer.
