SHALLOTTE CRIME REPORT

Shallotte police charged the following people and investigated the following incidents last week. All information is taken directly from police reports.

•Police charged Derek Shawon Johnson, 28, of Johnson Way, Supply, with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $5,000 secured bond.

•Police charged Andre Dwight Davis, 22, of Shell Point Road, Shallotte, with possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon. He was arrested after being stopped for impaired driving and registration violations. Police found three bags of marijuana in his pockets and a .380 caliber pistol under the driver’s seat.

•Police charged Edward Lee Davis, 35, of Shell Point Road, Shallotte with resisting arrest in the Walmart parking lot; suspect resisted arrest after an officer was called to the scene of a fight. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center and placed on a $1,500 secured bond.

•Police charged Daniel James Ray, 31, of Stone Chimney Road, Supply, with shoplifting at Walmart; suspect took $192.29 of merchandise from the store without paying. He ran across the street to a gas station, where he was arrested. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center and placed on a $500 secured bond.

•Breaking and entering and larceny of tools on Wild Raven Street; suspect entered victim’s garage and took a $200 saw, two drills valued at $299, a $60 battery charger and three batteries valued at $90.

•Larceny of cell phone at West Brunswick High School; suspect took victim’s $300 cell phone off a table.

•Communicating threats at Autumn Care; suspect told employees she wanted to put a bomb in the facility. Suspect is a former employee.

•Larceny of a motor vehicle at East Coast Storage; suspect stole a Ford Taurus valued at $35,000.

•Breaking and entering and larceny at Sunshine Café; suspect broke out the glass of the side door, causing $150 in damage, and stole $400 in cash.

•Probation violation on Smith Avenue; suspect was involved in a one-car accident at the corner of Main Street and U.S. 17 N. Upon checking his identification, police discovered he was wanted for probation violation. The suspect was taken to the probation office, where the warrant was served. Probation and Parole took custody.

•Larceny of a wallet at McDonald’s; suspect took victim’s purse, wallet and $40 in cash.

•Larceny of wallet at Walmart; suspect took victim’s wallet containing $475 in cash, a driver’s license and Social Security card.
